Full Description
A probable post-medieval quarry is depicted in this location to the south-east of Hillside Cottages on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map. The site was labelled as an 'Old Quarry', suggesting it was no longer being worked at the time of the survey. {1}
The quarry is now the site of a small area of woodland, although it is not clear if it was backfilled first, or if the workings might still be visible beneath the trees. {2}
