Full Description

PRN 52086 An 18th century bulk ointment container in tin glaze earthware. The blueish colouration of the glaze is due to traces of cobalt in the tin glaze. The label reads u(nguentum) e pice. It is possible that this jar did not originally come from Gainsborough. {1}
