Full Description

PRN 52067 This was one of a pair of tower mills in the same ownership and probably dates from the early 19th century. {3}. In 1816 it had five roller reefing sails with 3 pairs of stones. In 1870 it was refitted with the patent sails off a mill at Cleethorpes. It worked until 1927 when the sails were removed, and was then allowed to become derelict. It was dismantled in 1976 and the machinery was taken to a mill at Horncastle. It now stands derelict with the curb and most of the rooms in place. There were four pairs of stones, two French and two grey. {1}
