Full Description

The Church of All Saints is Norman to Perpendicular in date. Traces of former buildings to the north and south of the churchyard indicate that at least part of the earlier medieval village of Walesby had originally spread spread this far. The church was restored in 1936, and indicated as being in normal use in 1963, but has been little used since the 1880s. The building is locally known as 'The Ramblers Church'. The west tower, chancel and tower arches are Early English in date. There is a Transitional south doorway, north arcade, 13th century font and pulpit dating from 1626. {1}{2}{3} A church built in about 1175 which underwent alterations in about 1200, 1300, the 15th, 18th and 19th centuries and was restored in 1933. It is of ironstone rubble with some weathered ironstone ashlar, and features roofs of slate.
