Cropmarks of a probable enclsoure of possible prehistoric or Roman date, to the south of Stainton le Vale. Visible as a pair of attached perpendicular ditches, each measuring up to 70m long. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
