Full Description

Cropmarks of a probable former woodland boundary, of medieval or post-medieval date, to the south of Cowdyke Plantation, Stainton le Vale. The cropmarks suggest it was a ditched feature, enclosing an asymmetrical area measuring roughly 350m by 150m. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
