Cropmarks of an enclosure of possible prehistoric or Roman date, to the west of Stainton le Vale. Visible as an incomplete rectilinear enclosure, defined by a single ditch measuring roughly 110m long. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
