It is proposed that an area south of Caistor Road (TA 1765 0299) is to be developed. A site visit was undertaken as part of the assessment of the archaeological potential of the site, during which a small sherd of twelfth to fifteenth century pottery, not from a local kiln was found on a mole-hole near the northern hedge. It was also noted that most of the earthworks which have been visible in the past are no longer visible. {5}
The area to the north of Caistor Road appears to be under arable cultivation on the 1999 aerial photographs. There are some cropmarks visible. {7}
