THE SITE OF REVESBY ABBEY MONASTIC GRANGE. THE GRANGE WAS CREATED BY HUGH DE BAIOCIS' C12 GRANT OF 840 ACRES. IN 1288 IT CONSISTED OF A CAPITAL MESSUAGE AND 185 ACRES OF ARABLE IN DEMESNE. IT WAS INCLUDED AS A FARM OR GRANGE AT THE DISSOLUTION IN THE GRANT OF REVESBY. IT LAY IN A VALLEY SOUTH OF, AND SEPARATE FROM, THE VILLAGE CLOSES. IT WAS VACANT BY C19.
