Full Description

EARTHWORKS WERE LARGELY DESTROYED IN 1975. THE EARTHWORKS ARE ARRANGED IRREGUALRLY AROUND THE CHURCH ON THE VALLEY SIDE AND TO ITS EAST, AND THERE IS A VERY REGULAR TWO-ROW STREET VILLAGE ALONG THE VALLEY BOTTOM, INCLUDING RIDGE AND FURROW EARTHWORKS. {1} GREAT DEAL OF POTTERY FROM SEVERAL SITES IN FIELD INCLUDING STAMFORD, ST NEOTS, S.N. GREY, MEDIEVAL SHELLEY AND LOCAL WARES. ALSO POST MED POT IN 1 AREA - CISTERCIAN, LOCAL WARES, C17 STONEWARE & DELFT WARE. {3}
