Full Description

A CROPMARK SITE PHOTOGRAPHED IN 1959 SHOWS A DOUBLE-DITCHED RING DITCH. IN 1964 SEAMAN REPORTED THAT IT WAS NOT VISIBLE ON THE GROUND, NOR HAD ANY FINDS BEEN RECORDED. {1}{2}{5} APs BY TOM HAYES IN 1959 AND PAUL EVERSON IN 1979 SHOW CROPMARKS OF A SUB-RECTANGULAR DOUBLE-DITCHED RING DITCH, THE INNER DITCH OF WHICH IS A SPIRAL RATHER THAN A COMPLETE CIRCLE. {3}{4} IT HAS ALSO BEEN INTERPRETED AS A PREHISTORIC STOCK ENCLOSURE. {7}
