Full Description

Cropmarks of a single-ditched circular feature have been noted in this location, on aerial photographs taken of this area in the 1970s. The exact origin of the feature is uncertain, with an interpretation as a prehistoric ring ditch with possible internal pit having been suggested. The cropmarks closely match the position and dimensions of a circular probable pond feature marked on the 3rd edition 6" Ordnance Survey County Series map, however, and a mid 20th century origin could also be possible.
