PART OF A STRAIGHT-SIDED POLISHED STONE AXE, GIVEN TO ETHEL RUDKIN IN 1947 BY A FARM LABOURER. IN 1964 FEATHERSTON REPORTED THAT THE INDICATED AREA OF THE FIND-SPOT WAS FIELDWALKED, BUT NO SIGNIFICANT FINDS WERE MADE. MRS. RUDKIN RETAINED POSSESSION OF THE FIND BUT WAS UNABLE TO GIVE A PRECISE SITING. {1}~ THIN-SECTIONING SHOWED THE STONE TO BE TUFF, BUT NOT IDENTIFIABLE AS TO GROUP. {2}~, HTM 24M
