Full Description

Medieval finds from the area of the Roman site include a buckle of the later 13th century, a gilded buckle plate, an armorial stud, an armorial strap fitting, a bronze strap end with remains of a leather belt in position, a small strap end buckle, a bronze decorative fitting, a bronze pendant - possibly part of a harness decoration, broken purse frame mounts, a small bronze buckle, a penny of Henry II dated to about 1180-89, two pennies of Edward I from the London mint, and a penny of Edward I from the Bristol mint. Reported in 1988. {1}
