Full Description
Scatter of worked flints of probable early Bronze Age date, found to the south-west of Laughton. The reported find spot was in the dry bed of what was formerly a pond named Peacock Hole. A later site visit conducted in 1964 found the find spot to be covered by trees at that time, and no further finds were made. All the previously found material was in the possession of Ethel Rudkin, and comprised scrapers, borers and a possible saw, all described as being of 'early metal age'. {1}{2}
