A SILVER COIN OF VALENTINIAN I FOUND NEAR NORTHORPE HALL IN 1870. {1}{2}~ FRAGMENTARY SCULPTURE AND COINS OF VARIOUS DENOMINATIONS INCLUDING AN AUREUS OF MAXIMIAN, FOUND ABOUT 1859 AT 'NERTHORPE' ARE THOUGHT BY DUDLEY TO HAVE COME FROM NORTHORPE. HOWEVER C W PHILLIPS LISTS THE FINDS AS FROM NORTHORPE BY BOURNE, IN THURLBY PARISH. {1}{3}{4}{5}~
