Full Description
FLINT IMPLEMENTS REPORTED BY HAROLD DUDLEY IN 1950 TO BE COMMON IN THIS AREA. IN 1964 SEAMAN REPORTED THAT THE AREA HAD BEEN FRESHLY PLOUGHED AND WAS FIELDWALKED; THERE WAS A HEAVY SCATTER OF FLINT BUT NO IMPLEMENTS WERE FOUND. {1}
A FRAGMENT OF A ?POLISHED STONE AXE FROM THE SITE, NOW IN SCUNTHORPE MUSEUM WAS THIN-SECTIONED BETWEEN 1946 AND 1973 AND FOUND TO BE OF QUARTZITE. {2}
