A PENNY OF EDWARD THE CONFESSOR, INSCRIBED 'COLGRIM ON LINCOLN', FOUND ON THE BANK OF THE BARLINGS RIVER, AND REPORTED IN 1964. {1} A PENNY OF EDWARD THE CONFESSOR WAS FOUND ON THE BANK OF BARLINGS RIVER BY SHORT FERRY BRIDGE AND PURCHASED FOR THE MUSEUM. IT IS THE TREFOIL QUADRILATERAL BRITISH MUSEUM TYPE 3. THE OBVERSE READS '+ EDP RD REX', THE REVERSE READS '+COIGRIM ON LONCOL'. {3}
