ANGLO-SAXON POTTERY FOUND AT BLACKLANDS. ALSO SUGGESTED AREA OF A POSSIBLE ANGLO-SAXON CEMETERY - THERE WAS LOCAL TALK OF ANGLO-SAXON GRAVES FOUND BY THE LAKE ON THE NORTH (AND SOUTH) BANK. THE ANGLO-SAXON POTTERY WAS REPORTED AS FOUND SOME YEARS AGO. {1}{2}~ PROBABLY MEDIEVAL STONE-LINED GRAVES FOUND IN 1953 AND 1982 NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE LAKE. THERE IS NO DEFINITE EVIDENCE OF AN ANGLO-SAXON CEMETERY.
