THERE IS DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE FOR A POTTER WORKING IN GLENTHAM AT LEAST IN THE LATE C12. A CHARTER OF CATLEY ABBEY RECORDS THAT THE TOFT OF 'SEWARD THE POTTER' LAY WITHIN THE VILLAGE IN 1171-2. {1}{2}~
