Full Description

A Neolithic polished greenstone axe was found in 1966, on land to the north-east of Cliff Farm, Normanby by Spital. The axe measured 4.5" long by 1.125" at its widest. It was donated to Scunthorpe Museum. {1}{2} The artefact was thin-sectioned and thought to be of group VI coarse type. {3}
