Full Description
Several Roman coins have been found in the area of Caenby Corner, including:
A bronze coin of Magnentius (350-353 AD), donated to Lincoln Museum in 1969. The donor did not give an exact find location but said it was found with others in farming on land near Caenby Corner. {1}
A 'commen' coin of Constantine I, dating to the period 330-337 AD. The obverse was stamped with 'Constantinopolis'. The reverse is stamped with an image of Victory on a ship's prow. The mint mark was illegible. It was found in a field near Caenby Corner. {2}
