Full Description

A BRONZE FLANGED AXE HAS BEEN PRESENTED TO THE MUSEUM (ACCESSION No.LM 98.56) THROUGH THE GOOD OFFICES OF SCUNTHORPE MUSEUM. THE AXE WAS FOUND AT HEMSWELL (AT SK917907) IN ABOUT 1910, AND WAS DAMAGED SUBSEQUENTLY BY ITS FINDER. {1}{2}{3} SMR CARD HAS A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT GRID REFERENCE: SK915908, BUT IS CLEARLY A DUPLICATION OF THIS RECORD. {4}, HTM 22M
