A PLAIN SOCKETED BRONZE AXE FOUND IN ABOUT 1920, AND A PROBABLY MIDDLE BRONZE AGE PALSTAVE WITH WELL-DEVELOPED FLANGES FOUND BETWEEN 1947 AND 1949 AT BARKWITH FARM, HOLTON LE MOOR. IN 1963 SEAMAN REPORTED THAT THE FARMER STATED THAT BOTH AXES WERE FOUND IN THE FARMYARD AND HAD PRESUMABLY BEEN BROUGHT THERE FROM THEIR ORIGINAL FIND-SPOTS ELSEWHERE IN THE AREA. {1}{7} SEE ARCHAEOLOGICAL NOTES, 1958 FOR A DETAILED DESCRIPTION. {3} NOW IN LINCOLN MUSEUM. {5}{6}
