Full Description
A Romano-British lead tank was found in 1863 or 1864 'in a drain beneath the road running on the western side of the churchyard.' The tank was in 3 pieces, with one piece being inscribed 'CVNOBARRVS FECIT VIVAS'. This piece is in the City and County Museum, Lincoln. Another piece was held at the British Museum, but has been stolen. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
