Full Description

A Neolithic polished stone axe was found in 1940, whilst a dyke was dug out on land to the south of Snitterby Carr Lane. It has been thin sectioned and found to be of Group VI (Langdale) origin. {1}{2}{3} The axe measures 14.5cm long. It is now in Scunthorpe Museum. {4}
