Full Description

A Neolithic flint axe was found in 1982, on land to the south of Snitterby. The axe was wedge-shaped, tapering to a point at the butt, and with a convex profile and a wide crescentic blade. It was made of variegated fint, probably of glacial origin, and measured 132mm long by 51mm wide at the maximum. {1}
