IN 1288 WILLIAM BARDOLF HAD 'A CERTAIN CAPITAL MESSUAGE WITH FRUITS AND HERBAGE OF THE GARDEN AND A DOVECOTE' AT BLYBOROUGH. THE LOCATION OF THE DOVECOTE IS UNKNOWN, BUT IN THE C19 ONE OF THE FIELDS NORTH OF THE LAKES HAD THE FIELD NAME 'DOVE COTE' FIELD. {1}~
