Full Description

The remains of the socket stone of a medieval churchyard cross, on two badly broken steps; in 1964 supporting a flag staff. {1} The remains of the cross consists of one step and base. The step is 5 feet 10 inches square and is almost buried in the ground. The base is a fine block measuring 37 inches square and 20 inches deep, and the socket is 20 inches square. {2}
