2 HUMAN SKELETONS WERE FOUND IN 1969 IN DIGGING FOUNDATIONS, AT 2 FEET BELOW GROUND SURFACE, IN SAND ON NAVIGATION LANE IN SEWERAGE WORKS. 2 OTHER SKELETONS, ONE IN A CROUCHED POSITION, WERE FOUND IN 1964, 60 YARDS WEST OF THE 1969 BURIALS. NO GRAVE GOODS OR ASSOCIATED FINDS. THE BURIALS LIE OUTSIDE THE ROMAN TOWN WALLS AND COULD BE ROMAN. {1}{2}{3}~
