A LARGE ROMANO-BRITISH SITE FOUND BY D EVERATT IN 1967. FINDS OF SAMIAN (FORMS 33, 37, 18 0R 18/31) COLOUR-COATED POTTERY (INCLUDING A 'CHEESE STRAINER' BASE AND A C4 FLANGED BOWL), AND 2 DARK GRITTED RIMS - POSSIBLY PRE-ROMAN? IN ADDITION 3 AREAS OF STONE FOUNDATIONS WERE IDENTIFIED. {1}~
