Full Description
The site of an inhumation cemetery - possibly Roman? White's Directory of 1882 records 'in excavations for stone at Burton Hill Top in 1864, an oval grave was discovered containing a great number of human bones of all sizes and also twelve stone coffins: in 1870 three other coffins were dug up made of burnt clay'. {1}
