SITUATED IN PASTURE ON THE LIMESTONE PLATEAU BETWEEN THE HIGH WOLDS AND THE MAIN W-FACING SCARP, THE COMBINED EARTHWORKS AND EXTANT BUILDINGS SHOW THAT NORMANBY IS MADE UP OF THREE SEPARATE NUCLEI, LINKED TO FORMER OR SURVIVING ROADS LEADING EASTWARDS FROM CLAXBY ON TO THE WOLDS. {1}{2}, HTM 140 M
