Full Description

Phillips recorded the slight earthwork remains of a probable Bronze Age round barrow in this location to the north of Top Buildings, in 1930. Phillips recorded the feature as being 37 paces in diameter and 2ft high. No traces of the feature could be seen during a site visit in 1963, though corn stubble on the site may have obscured its visibility at that time. The probable barrow could be discerned as a circular soilmark on an aerial photograph taken of this area in 1979. {1}{2}{3}
