THE VILLAGE WATER SUPPLY IS FROM THE BY-WELL, INTERESTING FOR THE RETENTION OF ITS DANISH NAME. THE BY-WELL IS STILL IN USE AND SHOWS NO EVIDENCE OF ANTIQUITY. NO LEGEND OF THE WELL SURVIVES LOCALLY. {1}
