Full Description
A SMALL MOATED SITE LYING 300M WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE MOATED SITE OF HERMIT DAM AND ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE SAME NATURAL BASIN. THE SITE HAS NOT APPARENTLY BEEN NOTED BEFORE. THE EARTHWORKS CONSIST OF A SMALL SUB- RECTANGULAR MOUNDED PLATFORM OF UNKNOWN FUNCTION AND DATE, MEASURING 19M BY 13M AND WITH A HEIGHT OF 1.7M-1.25M, WHICH HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY PLOUGHING. ITS PERIMETER IS DELINEATED BY A DITCH, WET IN PLACES, BUT WHICH HAS BEEN ENCROACHED UPON BY THE TRACK TO PRIORY FARM.
