Full Description

Draycott (Draycote?) was one of the four medieval settlements of the parish of Nettleton. It is first referenced in 1212 but is poorly documented in medieval documents. It is mentioned in early fourteenth century documents. It is located at a group of old enclosures north and west of Nettleton medieval village with the field name Drakers Close and slight earthworks visible on early aerial photographs. {1}{2}{3}
