Full Description

Early medieval burials are thought to have been found on this site at some point prior to 1892. They were reported to Scunthorpe Museum, although no further information on them is now held by the Museum. Further burials were also found c.1931, 'on the site of the new school outside Scotter'. These further skeletons were noted as being 'found with an Anglian knife and other remains'. The burials indicate a possible Anglo-Saxon cemetery lies in this vicinity. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
