EARLY MEDIEVAL POTTERY DATING FROM LATE C10 ONWARDS WAS RECOVERED FROM THE AREA OF MEDIEVAL SETTLEMENT DURING THE WATCHING BRIEF ON THE BURGH LE MARSH - INGOLDMELLS RISING MAIN. THIS MAY INDICATE THAT THE SETTLEMENT REMAINS DATE FROM THE LATE SAXON PERIOD. {1}{2}
