PRN 43671 DURING THE MONITORING OF THE BURGH LE MARSH TO INGOLDMELLS RISING MAIN, A SMALL NUMBER OF MEDIEVAL SHERDS WERE RECOVERED FROM THE TOPSOIL STRIPPING AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE TREATMENT WORKS. THESE ARE THOUGHT TO BE THE RESULTS OF MEDIEVAL MANURING PRACTICES.{1}{2} A watching brief centred on TF5599 6762 recovered four sherds of 13-15th century pottery from the same vessel.{3}{4}
