Full Description
DURING A WATCHING BRIEF ON A WATER PIPELINE, A SPREAD OF ASH WAS FOUND BELOW THE TOPSOIL TOGETHER WITH FRAGMENTS OF FIRED CLAY. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE ADJACENT WATERMAIN, PARALLEL TO THE EASEMENT, MAY HAVE CUT THROUGH A MEDIEVAL OVEN OR KILN. {1} {2}
