Full Description

Type 26 pill box defending the drain crossing at Cowbridge. The structure is slightly smaller than the usual type 26 design. It was built using wood shuttering, and has large sills under the embrasures. {1}{2} A small square structure, thought to be the former pillbox, can be discerned in this location on an aerial photograph taken in July 1971. {3} The structure appears to have been demolished, and no trace can now be discerned on the Google Maps aerial imagery layer. It is thought to have been demolished c.2005. {4}
