Full Description
A layer of briquetage, including handbricks, evaporating troughs and charcoal, was revealed at Trunch Lane, Chapel St Leonards. It is thought to date to the Iron Age or Roman period. A series of at least 45 sub-rectangular features was also recorded (see PRN 43348), one of which cut into the briquetage layer. {1}
