Full Description

Three-bay, concrete anti-aircraft pillbox facing north-east. Comprised of two roofed parts joined by an open area with the dorway and a mounting for a light anti-aircraft gun. The roofed parts contain embrasures, and there is an embrasure for a machinegun in each end wall. {1}{2} Photographs of the pillbox were taken in June 2012, during site visits conducted for the Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey. The structure is of the Lincolnshire variant of the Type 23 pillbox style. It has been sinking into the surrounding saltwater marsh, and access to the interior is possible only during periods of dry weather. {3}
