Full Description
Cropmarks of a possible Neolithic long barrow, to the south-west of White Pit, Ketsby. Visible as an oval-shaped ditched enclosure, orientated north-west to south-east. It lies in close proximity to another more probable long barrow located to the immediate south-west (see MLI43173). Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
The possible barrow is visible on more recent aerial photography as the fragmentary cropmarks of a U-shaped enclosure, defined by a single ditch measuring 16.5m by 19.5m. Cropmarks of two possible internal pits were also noted. {2}
