Full Description

Earthworks of medieval ridge and furrow have been identified in Cade's Field from aerial photographs and by a watching brief. {1}{2} An earthwork survey was conducted of the medieval remains in the southern half of Cade's Field. The ridge and furrow was aligned approximately east to west, with the distance from ridge to ridge being (on average) 9m. The surviving height from the top of the ridges to the bottom of the furrows varied between 0.30 and 0.35m. {3}
