Full Description
A small assemblage of Anglo-Saxon metal artefacts was identified in 1995, on land at Claxby St Andrew. The assemblage was comprised of a bronze strap end thought to date to the 9th century, a bronze rivet, two pieces of a thin sheet bronze razor with crosshatch decoration, and a circular mount with holes for two rivets. The mount was made of gilt bronze with a light green pattern and had a brown base and tip. {1}
