PRN 43107
DURING THE WATCHING BRIEF ON THE BURGH LE MARSH - INGOLDMELLS RISING MAIN A SPREAD OF BLACK, BURNT SOIL WITH FIRED CLAY FRAGMENTS AND VERY SMALL QUANTITIES OF BRIQUETAGE (12 FRAGMENTS) WAS EXPOSED IN THE TRENCH SECTION. THIS SITE WAS INTERPRETED AS WASTE MATERIAL FROM A NEARBY ROMANO- BRITISH SALTERN, PROBABLY SPREAD INTO A THIN LAYER BY FLOODING AT THE START OF THE MARINE INUNDATION. {1}{2}
