Full Description

Cropmarks of probable prehistoric enclosure and boundaries, on land to the south of Sheep Cote Hill. Identified on aerial photographs examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. The features included a ditched, elongated trapezoidal enclosure with convex ends. It was thought possible that this feature may represent the remains of a former Neolithic long barrow. {1}{2} The interpretation of the ditched, elongated trapezoidal enclosure as a long barrow has been rejected by Dilwyn Jones on the basis of further aerial photographic evidence. {3}
