Full Description

Cropmarks of prehistoric enclosures and boundaries, on land to the south of Furlongs Lane. Identified on aerial photographs examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. The features included a sub-rectangular, ditched enclosure with rounded corners, convex ends and possible internal features. It was thought possible that this feature may represent the remains of a former Neolithic long barrow. {1}{2} The interpretation of the sub-rectangular, ditched enclosure as a long barrow has been rejected by Dilwyn Jones on the basis of further aerial photographic evidence. {3}
